AR Specialist (6 month contract)

Job Description

Ledgent is partnering with a long standing client looking to add an additional headcount to the team for project based assignment. This assignment is estimated to start January 2026 and go for 5-6+ months based on the workload. Small chance to be brought on at the end of the contract (if someone leaves, additional headcount needed, etc.) but likely just a contract role.

Ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of Accounts Receivable and be comfortable doing B2B Collections (email and phone based communication).

North Minneapolis (own parking lot - paid), Hybrid schedule (3x/week on-site, 2x/week remote). Compensation will vary based on experience ($25-$35/hour estimated).

Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and maintaining internal and external customer relationships through superior communication and customer service skills
  • Resolving current and past due accounts in a highly professional manner and with a best in class customer service approach with both verbal and written communication
  • Providing updates on A/R integrity to the Senior Credit Manager and other internal stakeholders
  • Analyzing and monitoring A/R
  • Making credit decisions at account and order level based on established parameters
  • Answering and return customer calls and emails regarding their accounts, make necessary adjustments and payments
  • Researching and resolve incoming inquiries relative to accounts receivable, billing and collections
  • Making suggestions for process improvements
  • Performing other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • 2-5+ years of AR Experience
  • Comfortable doing primarily Collections (phone and email communication) - B2B
